The second week, which will see mainstream courses in Lambourn and Swindon completing their fourth days tomorrow has seen over 240 participants taking part.
Swindon hosted a mainstream, Goalkeepers only and Multi Sports Inclusion Course while Lambourn has seen 66 budding young footballers take part at Lambourn FC.
The Multi Sports Inclusion Course has seen children with learning difficulties and varying disabilities participating over three days in the sports hall at St Joseph’s Catholic College. The group have been taken through various football and multi skills session throughout the week focusing on teamwork and co-ordination.
All the children participating this week were all presented with an STFC goody bag and special STFC goodiesincluding a personalised photo of their group for their hard work and efforts throughout the week. First team defender Aden Flint was present at the Swindon presentation on Thursday to answer various questions about his football career and to hand out the Competition and Kid of the Week winners to each group. Charlie McCrae of Group 5 won the kid of the course award with the award being handed to the child who typifies what STFiTC Trust are all about.
A big thank you must go to all the parents who have enabled the children to attend this week, to the children themselves for their fantastic behaviour and to all STFiTC coaching team who have been involved in making this one a fantastic one.
Don’t worry if you have been unable to take part in the first two weeks of the summer activities so far there are still spaces left on the remaining courses in Swindon and its surrounding areas.
