Mike has been associated with Swindon Town Football Club for 40 years. During this time he has been Chairman and ambassador for the club. For many years Mike has been Chairman of the Football in the Community Trust helping to maintain and develop its programme to its full potential.
“It is and has been a great honour to be Chairman of such a professional organisation which affects thousands of people throughout the year. The variation and delivery of the programmes is amazing with not just main stream school children engaging but people with special needs, disabilities and senior citizens.”
Nathan took over the captaincy of the club last year from Darren Ward. Nathan is a product of the STFC Academy Programme and has been associated with Swindon Town Football Club from eight years of age. Nathan is a good advocate and supporter of the Football in the Community Trust and during his time with the club he has attended many events and activities such as holiday development courses and disability coaching sessions.
As the Ambassador of the STFC Community Trust Nathan commented: “I am extremely proud to be associated with the Community Trust here at Swindon Town. It is great to see so many people benefiting from the wide range of activities that they have on offer for people of all ages and abilities within Swindon and the surrounding areas. I fully support the work they all undertake and it gives me huge satisfaction to be able to offer something back as I am extremely grateful and fortunate to hold the position of Club Captain and Community Trust Ambassador.”
